It’s great news that Hadspen has finally been accepted in as part of the Bass electorate. So as your local Liberal candidate, I would like to welcome you to Bass – the best electorate in Australia!

It’s a special place for me. In fact, as I look back, Hadspen is the place where I got my first ‘start’ as a representative of people.

In 2002 I led a campaign with a group of dedicated locals to save Entally House from a 99-year private lease by the State Labor Government – chairing a pivotal public meeting at the Hadspen hall which saved public access to the property. Later, I was elected for the first time to Meander Valley Council – an opportunity where I learned the value of working closely with the community for the greater good.

Having lived and worked in Northern Tasmania, I know what a great place it is to live and raise a family. And I’m determined to keep it that way by looking to the future and working with local residents and community groups to secure better services and facilities right here.

My two strong personal goals are to improve our education system and to ensure the best health services are available for all of us. I love Tasmania and want to play my role in helping Tasmanians become the happiest people, enjoying the best quality of life in Australia.

I aim to be an effective, passionate and focussed representative for the people of Bass. I want to work toward outcomes that benefit the whole community. But I also want to listen. Your views are important to me and I would greatly appreciate your feedback. If you have a moment, please let me know your views and concerns so that I can work with you. Thank you.

Also, I’ve created a section at the bottom of this page which I’d invite you to use as a Hadspen community forum. Post your ideas, concerns and vision for the future of the lovely town of Hadspen right here. Who knows what it could lead to???

Once again, welcome to Bass.

Remember, I am here to fight for the people of Northern Tasmania so please contact me if I can ever assist you.
