The hypocrisy of Cassy O’Connor is breathtaking. She was a minister in the Government which slashed frontline health spending and signed off on the current arrangements.
The Service Agreement under which the RHH is operating was signed, sealed and delivered by the former Labor-Green Government.
They need to take responsibility for budget shortfalls which have led to a reduction in some elective surgery.
This is their legacy. They created the problem and this Liberal Government will deliver a solution.
We will honour our promise to add an additional $76 m which will start to flow from July 1 when we sign a new service agreement.
