The Hodgman Liberal Government is a long-standing supporter of clinical trials and the potential use of medical cannabis products. We have led the country in calling for a national, evidence-based response to provide safe access to medical cannabis. Only last week Health Ministers agreed to further collaborate to ensure greater national consistency.
While former Premier and Health Minister Lara Giddings and the Labor-Green Government did nothing in 16 years, the Tasmanian Liberal Government will have more to say about progress in the near future.
