The timing of industrial action by HACSU during a federal election campaign reeks of Mr Jacobson’s Labor Party politicking.
The fact is the work of all allied health professionals are recognised on the THS executive, and they are supported by the Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health.
Allied health professionals are an essential part of the Tasmanian Health Service and the Government values their work. It is disappointing that the union has chosen to take this action, and we will monitor it closely to ensure it does not impact on patient safety.
