HACSU’s latest action is more about the federal election than it is about Tasmania’s hardworking paramedics.

I understand a formal offer will be made tomorrow and Mr Jacobson knows this too.

That offer will be consistent with the government wages policy and the letter that was sent to HACSU a couple of weeks ago by the Secretary of the DHHS.

I understand these escalation tactics are being largely ignored by Ambulance Tasmania paramedic staff who want to protect their professional reputation.

The Government is very appreciative of paramedics and the hard work they do day in, day out which is reflected in the 14 per cent pay rise they received last year.
