It says a lot about Labor that only days after being exposed as lying about an illness cluster at the Royal Hobart Hospital, they are yet again out there trying to scare the Tasmanian community.
While asbestos has been identified from material at the Royal, the advice we have received to date is that the risk is negligible.
Staff have been openly advised of the process at each stage of testing, including advice of the results of air monitoring that has found the air to be safe.
There is no conspiracy here, and for Labor to try and scare the public yet again is simply disgraceful.
Labor have refused to apologise for their proven false assertion of an “illness cluster” despite misleading parliament, and their behaviour over this issue so far has confirmed yet again they have nothing to offer Tasmanians but empty scare campaigns.
