The Tasmanian Government is conducting a corridor study of the West Tamar Highway between the Launceston CBD and McEwans Road, north of Legana.
It’s to help identify options to improve safety and connectivity between West Tamar communities and Launceston for all transport modes. The study will also help inform the feasibility study for a new Tamar River Crossing.
This project supports the Tasmanian Government’s Launceston and Tamar Valley Traffic Vision, which aims to address congestion and improve safety and travel time reliability on the Launceston and Tamar Valley road network.
