The Hodgman Government’s commitment to Tasmania’s information and communication technology sector is further cemented through our support of the 2016 Budget TasICT Generations Project.
Held at the Women in Tech event in Launceston today, the government has invested $50,000 in the pilot project that aims to address skills shortages in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and ICT skills in the state.

The Hobart Cruise Ship Terminal is now wi-fi accessible in time for Tasmania’s peak tourism season.
Last week wi-fi was switched on at MAC2, allowing tourists to contact family and friends to let them know they’re in beautiful Tasmania by highlighting their trip to the world online.

Encouraging entrepreneurship and assisting start-ups to commercialise their ideas is behind the opening of Launceston’s Innovation Hub.
Called Enterprize – Tasmania’s Start-up Space, the hub will initially open in a pop-up space on Paterson Street before it moves to its permanent location at Macquarie House.
